As much as I love paints, paper and traditional art supplies… I also love making digital art. I love how simple and fuss-free it is. I love that I don’t need to wash brushes and fiddle around with colour mixing. I love that I don’t need to keep buying more (expensive!) paint and art supplies. And I love that it’s so wonderfully conducive to exploring and travel!
I use the following 3 tools to create my digital art:
- an old iPad with a cracked screen
- a drawing app called Procreate
- my index finger
With those 3 little tools, I can spend many happy hours drawing and creating.
Digital Art allows me to express myself differently. The drawings I create on my iPad are nothing like my paintings and other illustrations. My favourite thing to do (with digital art) is to take photos… and then draw all over them and re-make them in to something else.
Here’s a few examples of what I’ve made (my Instagram account has more)…
